Forklifts are construction machines with front forks to lift heavy materials and loads that are difficult to lift and carry by manpower and load them onto containers, trucks or shelves, carry such loads or likewise unload these loads from shelves or trucks. They are also called “portif” by locals in Turkey. Intended for carrying loads, these machines are used everywhere from transportation industry to port services, construction sites and manufacturing warehouses and have a load carrying capacity between 1 to 40 tons. Forklifts can lift pallet loads up to heights between 3 to 10 meters and are indispensable machines for large warehouses.
